Archie and his wife Judy spent Friday at the Festival of Speed with Jaguar hospitality thrown in. But the highlight of the day was a ride in the new Jaguar XKR 75, sitting alongside Jaguar’s chief chassis guru and driving legend Mike Cross, as he slithered and rocketed up Lord March’s front drive.
The new BMW M3 GTS - arrives in the UK in 2011
We got the first bit of info on BMW’s super-hot M3 – the BMW M3 GTS – back in November. We get a few facts, such as a likely cost of £100k plus, 450bhp and only available in the Tango version. But now we get official detail from BMW, although we still don’t get a BMW M3 GTS price for the UK.
What is it? For those jaded by the prospect of yet another A6, 5-Series or E-Class, Italy proudly presents a pretty and powerful alternative. Although the new Maserati Ghibli is a conventional sedan -- an extra-curvaceous one, to be sure -- the trident-badge brand's leadership believes it can challenge the coupe-like competitors from Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
